Welcome to Lazy E Ranch. We are devoted to raising high quality Registered Texas Longhorns, by breeding to our senior herd sire Zydeco . We also have an AI program, breeding hand picked cows each year to be bred to top quality AI bulls such as Emperor and Awesome Viagra. Resulting in some very nice blended genetics calves.
The Lazy E Ranch is a fourth generation ranch on my wife, Jill's side. Mr. Right started the ranch in 1890. Jill’s grandfather (Elmer Lee Covey) married into the Right family. He raised Registered Hereford cattle and sold bulls at registered Hereford sells such as Denver Co. His son Elmer F. Covey, my father in-law worked on the ranch along with his Dad. Elmer F. Covey was a director in the Hereford Assoc. in 1959.
I (David Miller) was raised on a farm in Wichita county Texas. I have raised and shown just about every kind of livestock you can think of, from rabbits to mules and everything in between. I won my first Rabbit show when I was 12 years old, In 1973 I won the Fort Worth Stock Show breeding swine show with a Chester White Boar that I had breed and raised. I also raised grand champion coon dogs, which lead to mules. My old Jumping mule Jack won the Fort Worth Stock Show "mule jumping contest five years in a row. I have always had some kind of Livestock for sale.
Then I started raising registered Texas longhorns in 2002. It started out with a Longhorn steer that my wife gave me for my birthday. Then I had to have a Registered Texas Longhorn cow, then two cows a bull and then well you know how it happens when you get the Longhorn cattle in your blood, you become a Texas Longhorn cattle breeder. I have selected some very good Longhorn cows, and have been breeding for four years. Member of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America.

New zydeco calves hitting the ground every day, this 2007 - 2008 calf crop look great. The zydeco calves have grown out very well, lots of body and lots of horn. there is still a few 2007 Zydeco calves left to choose from. one is a red bull from a Emperor daughter and Zydeco, this bull has it all, horns going strait out and conformation that would make a showing in any show ring. the Emperor cattle have always done good in the shoe ring, and you know what the Zydeco cattle do, with Jet Jockey and JET BLACK WYNONNA, world champions. add the horn genetics from roundup and emperor and these calves are bound to enhance anyone's herd. call or come by to see some great longhorns.
